Lady Jane DJ Women Who Rock interview preserved for 1000 years!

Lady Jane DJ will be interviewed for the Women Who Rock Oral History Project. As part of this Project the University of Washington Library’s Division of Digital Initiatives will preserve this interview for 1000 years.

Women Who Rock Research Project is based at the University of Washington and supports, develops, and circulates scholarship and cultural production across disciplines that examine the politics of gender, ethnicity, race and sexuality generated by popular music. The Women Who Rock Research Project, supervised by UW faculty Michelle Habell‐Pallan and Sonnet Retman, is developed through collaborations between UW faculty, graduate students, community members and scholars of gender, race and sexuality in music and social justice movements.

Women Who Rock Oral History Project will build an online digital archive of oral histories, that will be publicly available to scholars, students, and fans of music scenes. The collection will consist of narratives of women who have participated in local West Coast music scenes,or who have ties to the local scenes.

Lady Jane DJ is very excited to be a part of this project!
